Jimmie Sue Brooks

Sister Jimmie Sue Brooks was born October 11, 1934 in Chambers County, Alabama to the late Ellis Roberts and Josie Lou Johnson. She departed this life on Saturday,January 14, 2017 at EAMC (Lanier Memorial).

She was a member of the Rehoboth Baptist Church in Valley, Alabama; where she served in many capacities: BTU, Nurse's Guild, Youth Advisor Crusader, Missionary Society, Financial Secretary, Mary L. Moody Circle, Kitchen Committee, and Den Mother for Pack 60 BSA. 

She was employed with West Point Pepperrell (Fairfax Mill) where she was a member of the 50 year club until her retirement. 

Jimmie Sue was preceded in death by her daughter, Nellie B. (Kitty) Avery.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Jimmy L. Brooks, Gregory F. Brooks, and Randall "Wendell" Brooks of Valley, Alabama; one sister, Jerlene Ramsey of Lanett, Alabama; one brother, James F. Johnson of Valley, Alabama; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and a  host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
