Emma Sue Watkins

 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Ms. Emma Sue Watkins was the daughter of the late Ms. Bessie Lipscomb. 

Ms. Watkins accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mount Hermon Church. In her early years, she worked as a housekeeper. She was loved in the community as a loving mother figure. She was known for her homemade Buttermilk Biscuits, which she used to feed many. 

Ms. Watkins departed this life on Friday, May 22, 2020 at EAMC-Lanier Health Services. She was preceded in death by her mother and siblings. 

Ms. Watkins leaves behind her only beloved son, Charlie (Virginia) Watkins of Lanett, AL; four grandchildren, Rev. Alford Booker of Lanett, AL, Demarco (Nekia) Booker of Valley, AL, Margaret Booker of Lanett, AL and Dewonda Booker of West Point, GA with a host of great grandchildren, Alicia Booker, Anthony Booker, Aliyah Booker, Alycen Booker, Ambria McCants, McCarey McCants, Devin Booker and Marquis McCants; honorary daughter, Ms. Jimmie Booker and a special friend, Hattie Mae Brown.
